9.0 | The achievements aren't hard, especially if you're going for level 99 on your characters. They are just tedious and require a lot of hours of grinding. Some of them are worrisome like finding all the treasure chests or completing the entire bestiary, because if you miss just one you either have to restart from a previous save game or even restart the entire game if you forgot to save or overwritten the previous save file, thus having a lot of wasted time. So, yeah, in this case using a guide is recommended to see where all the chests and monsters are located and which are missable. | 90.4 | 2017-02-21 |

10.0 | Yes, there are flaws in the technical execution of this game, but the gameplay still holds up after two decades. The job system is really great, the storyline is the usual one for a Final Fantasy game (Story of like every Final Fantasy game: There are four Crystals/There is some energy representing the elements. Then bad stuff happens because of them being threatened/falling into wrong hands/being destroyed/losing their energy/all at once. Then you fight monsters and somehow manage to make everything good again, or not, and a main character may or may not die/be bound by fate/be the son of Darth Vader/become insane). What remains is a game that gameplay-wise does it all right. This is the open-job/class 2D RPG at its finest. I can't even downvote it for the technical faults it has from the mobile/PC port, it is just that good. | 0 | 2015-09-27 |
