10.0 | This game is like if Skyrim had a soul, specifically a meaningful narrative with involving characters. In regards to the bugs, Witcher 3 was delayed by 3 months just for bug-squashing. If a game like that can still have bugs, this game will definitely have some to, and unfortunately the amount of bugs you would expect in an open-world game from a semi-independent studio is probably present here. Another downside is the combat, I was personally going for a no-kills play-through in my first run, so perhaps I didn't give myself an opportunity to learn and appreciate it. Though, even after that, I found myself resorting to shooting arrows at point-blank range at the enemies as sword-fighting was usually tiresome. Those are the only negatives I would point out in this overall fantastic experience. If you can tolerate some misgivings here and there, you are in for something worthwhile. | 320.7 | 2018-03-21 |
