7.0 | A very addictive marriage of Terraria with a god game of sorts (in the sense that the standard mode entails indirect control of one's minions). However, the AI of the dwarves leaves much to be desired and often direct control is needed so that a dwarf gets unstuck or does not meet an untimely end. That also means, however, that the enemy AI is relatively easy to fool and entrap so that they never reach your base or they reach it with a lot of delay. The game is pretty punishing on the later worlds and winning those makes the multiplayer "expeditions" very hard to avoid, as the extra resources gained (especially mithril) are crucial. The PvP mode might be fun for those who like competition, but the more friendly co-op mode seems more like a grind (especially if no other player is found). | 228.5 | 2020-12-01 |
