The game itself is an absolute masterpiece, but the Pixel Remaster, while improving on the original by adding fast-forwarding etc., has a few obvious minor design flaws. The bestiary is not available in the config menu anymore (only from the title screen). You can't see if you got everything from places after they were destroyed. While those things are only annoying for completionists, the achievements require you to get everything. So this is a significant flaw. However, the game itself still is a 10/10, the job system is brilliant and the story is your standard interesting JRPG story with its twists and unexpected character development.
(I participate in the Job Fiesta on another version, playing this version "on the side" where I don't have restrictions.)
EDIT: The Pixel Remaster version also is a solid 10/10. |
