||This game is so cute and happy and fun at the start and then goes on to make me feel all sorts of emotions. Nothing in it could really be considered hard, but there's enough challenge that I felt like I was playing something. The singing and dancing mechanics were a bit awkward to get used to, but once I figured them out, I was able to express myself very well using them at any point I wanted. Wandersong does a pretty good job of exploring the possibilities of its core mechanic and introduces the player to those possibilities organically within the game. It looks like a rhythm game or a game about music, but really, aside from the story, you could take away all of the music and, mechanically, it would still be the same. Then again, why would you do that? I spent so much time messing about with the singing and dancing that I have no idea how much time it would actually take to beat the game.
